The Just Space Alternative Plan for a caring city has been created by many Londoners working in small groups and larger discussions. There is a printed version and a PDF version which you can download here
It has been driven by the need for an alternative to successive London Plans, which over 25 years have made conditions worse for so many people, exacerbating the crisis of housing and rents and allowing unchecked property development to hollow out the city.
The Mayor of London is required to consider alternatives when proposing a new London Plan – which he is hoping to do in June – and our plan offers a very different approach to the housing affordability crisis, the carbon crisis, the biodiversity crisis, and the planning crisis.
